This paper concentrates on evaluation of AVS3's performance and comparison of AVS3 with other state-of-art next-generation video coding standards. Regarding coding performance evaluation, PSNR is used as objective quality metric. MS-SSIM and VMAF are selected as two quality metric for subjective quality assessment. Besides coding performance evaluation, encoder and decoder implementation complexity for those standards are also analyzed in the paper. According to quality assessment and complexity analysis, AVS3 shows comparable coding performance and competitive tradeoff between performance and complexity compared to other standards.
